Wanda is an acknowledged expert on regulation, human resources and entrepreneurial businesses.
Her last corporate role was Managing Director of AIR MILES owned by British Airways. Since then, Wanda has created a portfolio of Non-Executive and Government roles including as an advisor to Smedvig Venture Capital and founder of leading HR and recruitment consultancy True North Human Capital. In 2012 she was appointed as a Civil Service Commissioner and in 2016 as a lay member of the Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel. In addition Wanda formally mentors a number of CEOs.
Chief Executive Officer
George Kidd has held a variety of executive and non-executive roles in standards and regulatory bodies. He was Chief Executive of PhonepayPlus, the telecoms regulator for eight years. He has chaired the Direct Marketing Commission and served with the Fundraising Regulator, the Council for Licensed Convayancers and UKPAC, the registrar of lobbyists. George set up the UK Online Dating Association in 2013 serving as its first Chief Executive. Earlier, as part of his Civil Service career, George worked in the Cabinet Office Better Regulation Task Force and as British Consul in Chicago promoting US investment into the UK.
Gillian is an experienced Chairman and NED. She founded Board Mentoring in 2008 and works personally with CEOs and Executive Directors of leading International companies, matching Mentors with business leaders. Her background in retail, logistics, brands and consumer markets is combined with her work more recently in sport, energy and Government advisory. Media savvy and an experienced speaker and presenter, she has co-written a multi-media business format Powershift. She is a winner of the 2014 NED Awards Unquoted/Private Equity category (Peel Hunt/Sunday Times) and is listed in the Cranfield 100 Women to Watch in the 2014 and 2015 Female FTSE Report.
Stephen Thornton has held senior executive and non-executive positions on public and third sector boards for a quarter of a century. He is presently Chair of the East of England Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care; a non-executive director of the Eastern Academic Health Science Network; a non-executive director of The Pathology Partnership; and a Council Member on the Nursing and Midwifery Council. He has previously been Deputy Chair of Monitor, the independent regulator for NHS Foundation Trusts and a Commissioner on the Healthcare Commission (forerunner of the Care Quality Commission).
Tom Tuxworth is Head of Public Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility for Paddy Power Betfair in the UK & Ireland. He joined Betfair in 2010 and was a member of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee prior to its February 2016 merger with Paddy Power. Before joining Betfair Tom worked for Dods Parliamentary Communications and for MPs in Westminster.
Richard Flint is the Chief Executive of Sky Betting and Gaming (‘Sky Bet’) a Leeds based digital business with over 850 employees and over 1.5 million active customers. Sky Bet is now 80% owned by CVC and 20% by Sky, and Richard led the business through this £800m transaction in March 2015. Richard has been in charge of Sky Bet for over 8 years, and with the company for nearly 14 years. He holds Masters Degrees from Harvard and Oxford Universities, and was a consultant at McKinsey and Company.
David is a Chartered Surveyor with almost 30 years’ experience in the betting industry, spanning a wide range of responsibilities, the last 25 years being at William Hill. He has held a number of executive roles since 1996 and, in his current position of Corporate Affairs Director he has responsibility for public affairs, public relations, compliance, security, legal and the property teams; additionally he also has responsibility for CR to include health and safety. His previous experience also covers retail operations, marketing, procurement and IT. For the last five years, David has been Vice Chairman of the Association of British Bookmakers.
Stephen Wilson has held a number of high profile positions leading online sales and marketing teams up to and including at Director level for high profile brands in industries including mobile and fixed telecoms, gas and electricity and travel. Stephen brings a significant expertise in digital to The Senet Group, he is a regular speaker at digital events and has mentored and advised a number of digital start-ups. He has an MBA and postgraduate qualifications in Marketing and 15 years’ experience driving significant results through online channels for FTSE 100 brands.
