Senet Group, the gambling watchdog, has added new commitments on social media to the requirements it makes of its members.
Members are now required to carry prominent responsible gambling messages on the homepages of their major social media sites, as well as on all other web and social applications. Members will also include regular stand-alone Senet Group advertisements in their Twitter feeds.
It’s important that operators are socially responsible in the way that they promote gambling, whatever channels they use,” said Wanda Goldwag, Chair of Senet Group and Independent Standards Commissioner. “These new commitments are designed to uphold that principle in light of changing patterns of media usage.
